The Pambansang Samahan Ng Inhenyerong Mekanikal (PSIM) Pangasinan Chapter held it’s first (1st) Officers and BOT’s meeting last January 21, 2023 at Bo’s Coffee De Venecia Road Extension Dagupan City and attended by the majority of the officers.
The meeting started at around 5pm and revolves around appointing Engr. Erickson Gerald Lubat as our new Chapter Secretary, on how we can help our fellow professionals and Mechanical Engineering students to become more knowledgeable in different field of being a Mechanical Engineer, and lastly, how PSIM Pangasinan Chapter can help the community through Social Responsibility Projects.
With this main agenda’s on the table, a motion to conduct Technical Seminar with CPD points was raised, it was seconded and eventually adopted. Technical seminar was scheduled last week of March and April in order to have some time in applying for CPD points.
Topics are the following:
- Duct System Design by Engr. Rodel Panghulan
- NFPA 14 (Standard for the Installation of Standpipe and Hose Systems by Engr. Arthur Merillo Jr.
It was also tackled during our meeting that PSIM Pangasinan Chapter will coordinate in some Institutions such as:
- Region 1 Medical Center (R1MC) for our Blood Letting Project.
- The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is in support of the upcoming Fire Prevention Month. Department of Environment and Natural Resources for our Tree Planting, Coastal Clean-up Drive.
We also discussed producing some memorabilia such as:
- Car Stickers
- Coffee Mugs
- Chapter Uniforms
The Pambansang Samahan Ng Inhenyerong Mekanikal (PSIM) Pangasinan Chapter continues to create and build bridges for every Mechanical Engineer here in Pangasinan in order for us to have solidarity and achieved our common goal of MASSIVE MOVE FOR MEMBERSHIP.
