PSIM Misamis Oriental Chapter headed by Chapter President Engr. Rex R. Logronio also a Power Plant Superintendent in the said Power Plant, conducted a plant visit and exposure at the central control room with some Mechanical Engineers members.
Both exchange conversations and sharing of ideas as we know that Power Plant Engineering is one of the major subjects in the Mechanical Engineering profession. The said power plant in terms of its plant cycle is a reheat–regenerative type and this type of CFB boiler is a clean coal technology with ESP (Electrostatic precipitator) with CEMS or Continuous Emission Monitoring System which is also monitored by DENR on its parameters.
As Mechanical Engineers, we will continue to expose and visit the plant (power or industrial) for us to review or even know the process well. As we believe, “the world is paralyzed without electricity”
